What could I have this cough will not go away?

First of all this started with a stuffy runny nose and then I had a cough. Then I got a really bad cough and itch throat and pressure at chest may congested chest not really sure. Then it kind of went away but I have this cough still not as bad but bad enough. Then today my little baby started coughing as well.
