Fly mask's and tick reppelent?

I was wondering what kind of fly spray anyone uses that actually works? i've tried Bronco, Horse StableMate, Mana pro, etc and nothing works! Or should i just use a fly mask? Also is there anything you can put on a horse to repel ticks, im already starting to find them on my horses and they haven't gotten they're lymes shot yet, but im working on trying to find a vet to come out here! Thanks so much
