Can you syringe feed newborns?

When I had my first son he had horrible latching problems and nurses sucked and there wasnt a llc near me closest was 4 hours this time I am not giving up there aren't feeding cles but I have the number of the local ceritfied feeding woman and I can call and have her come to the hospital so until she could come up there to the hospital to see me could I syringe feed them without making them confused??? Btw this is just incase I have problems
